WHY I INJECT:
There are few places where people feel vulnerable. One is with your therapist, if you have one; 2. is with your hair stylist; and 3. is with your injector. Vulnerability exposes our insecurities and it’s tied in to how we feel about ourselves. Our external appearance can be a reflection of our internal experience and when we are with those that work on our physicality there is an inherent need not to be judged. Not judged for your past, your present, and for wanting to improve yourself.
When a patient is in my room, I accept them for who they are, why they’re here, and what we are trying to achieve. Whether they’re on their second divorce, starting a brand new career, or finally giving themselves the self care they need, my approach is always that of acceptance, celebration, and no judgment. Everyone is on their own journey and I am a huge believer in supporting one another especially woman to woman. There is so much strength in being vulnerable and as a provider I want to validate my patients and acknowledge why they’re in my chair, and support them without any judgment. It takes a strong person to be the provider, colleague, coworker, human being, that sees you, the patient, as someone to be supported and listened to and heard.
Whatever the reason that brought you to my room, it will always and forever be a judgment free zone.
